Forever Family!

The past two days have been incredible. Ryan has been with us since Monday morning. After some initial apprehension, which we expected, he took to both of us pretty quickly, and is a total sweetheart. He is very pleasant and wants to be held all the time (which we are very happy to comply with), smiles and laughs a lot, likes to wave and imitate other gestures and sounds, and is very interested in everything going on around him. He also likes looking for trouble and getting into things -- he has already pulled one of the "control" keys off our laptop. We are completely in love with him and want to spend every second with him -- I even missed him during the 10 minutes I was in the shower this morning! We have our hands pretty full right now so we'll post more details later, but we know Ryan's many fans at home are anxious to see pictures, so here you go!

What a beautiful boy! Lauren wanted to be held all the time the first few days, too. Enjoy the rest of your time in Taiwan. Congratulations!

Ryan is gorgeous and you two look soooo happy! I'm a big believer that you can't hold a baby too much... they grow too fast to let the opportunity slip by... so enjoy every second!

Keep us updated on your adventures in Taiwan and post LOTS of pictures!!!

Congrats!!

Sweet pictures. Megan was pretty sure she needed to be help for the first several days too. Good bonding time.

Enjoy the rest of your stay in Taipei. If that first beef noodle place didn't work out, I'm sure we could point you towards something else... steamed dumplings perhaps?

Have fun!

Kevin

I actually stumbled into this site, i thought? But, after reading about the adoption of your son, I realized that this may have not been a mistake afterall. My wife and I have been married 19 years and have no children. I am 55 and she is 44 and she has been saddened the last 10+ years that we haven't been able to have children. I have discussed adoption many times, but she hasn't been willing to accept that as a option. I have actually been so touched by your story and to see the joy your son has brought into your lives, that I feel a rebirth within myself, that maybe we do have a chance to be a part of a childs life and in return be blessed ourselves. I still do not know how to approach my wife yet, but i pray that God will show me the way to go about it. Thank you for your willingness to push through the obstacles to stay with your course or vision, so to speak to complete the task that was before you so that others even like myself and my wife soon I hope, can have children in our midst. Thank you again.
