These were taken during the phase when Ryan wanted to wear his mittens all the time:



This is the reaction we get when we suggest that he might want to take his mittens off for certain activities, like eating cereal:



The mitten attachment may have been exacerbated by the fact that his mittens have a hockey theme (hockey being one of Ryan's major interests, second only to trains).
