We started our first adoption process in August 2006, intending to adopt a little boy from Vietnam. In December 2006, our agency offered us the opportunity to adopt through their new program in Taiwan. We received Ryan's referral on December 11, 2006, and traveled to Taiwan in July 2007 to bring him home. As of May 2008, we have officially begun the process to adopt a second child from Taiwan.
Ryan _loves_ shopping at Trader Joe's because he gets a balloon when we check out. The entire time we're shopping, he keeps turning and pointing toward the balloons and saying "buh! buh!", then he starts waving his arms when we finally approach the checkout. All that excitement really tires him out:
