The Little Dude in Taiwan
We accepted the referral of "the little dude in Taiwan", as my wife has taken to calling him. Life has been so hectic with the holidays and other matters that we have not had much time for blogging. We have been elated for the past week and are dreaming of the day that we meet him.
One of the first things we did was arrive upon a name, Ryan. We knew that we also wanted to incorporate part of his birth name as well and will include it as a middle name.
Now that we are getting over the surreal notion that we have received a referral, we are preparing to be parents for the first time.

Congratulations on your referral! I would like to find out you agency name so that we can discuss with them our eligiblity to adopt from Taiwan. We were working towards a Chinese adoption and on Tuesday we recieved the most crushing phone call ever. Due to new regulations that China put out on Dec. 8th we are no longer eligible to adopt from them. We were supposed to have our first homestudy interview tonight, but that has been put on hold. My husband began looking at Taiwan yesterday and this blog has really helped me have faith again. We really want to be parents and adoption is most likely going to be the only way for us.
