Our little boy is almost two! (October 1st)

This past weekend, Ryan had his first visit to the zoo (our belated Family Day excursion). His favorites were the tigers, orangutans, the aquarium (especially the penguins), and the camel and llama. We also saw elephants, gorillas, bears, kangaroos, sea lions, and even jellyfish.

The children's zoo has a deer pen where you can walk right up and pet the deer. Ryan wouldn't touch the deer himself, but cracked up every time it licked my arm.



He did pet the sheep later on.

Rob was out of town the other night. Ryan missed his "dad-dat", so he grabbed the phone and pretended to call him. It was quite an animated conversation considering there was no one on the other end!
